Push tug Lion (1943)
Lion contains a Bolinder Munktell 1054 engine, which she uses to push The Village Butty around.
Hi again everyone! After a busy time with Coventry City of Culture, we headed straight to Fire in the Mountain festival to run a stage there (not with the boats, unfortunately, no canals) and have been having a small break from social media while making plans for The Future. Our priority at the moment is getting the wonderful push tug Lion all ship shape. Engine Heracles (a Bolinder Munktell 1054) is a dream come true but needs a bit of tinkering with before we can set off reliably on our Never-ending-Tour-of-Everywhere! We also need to finish off the Butty refurb with some exterior painting and re-build the stage on the roof. To keep us busy in the Midlands while we finish off the refurbishment stage, we're teaming up with some artists over the Summer and will be joining their events - details of those to follow soon. Everywhere we go, we will be updating this page, along with Twitter, Instagram & Facebook @thevillagebutty Thanks for your patience, hope to see you soon XX
We are open!
Currently moored in Coventry Canal Basin CV1 4LY. Check out our Events page and come and see us.
